INTERN- AVRR (ASSISTED VOLUNTARY RETURN AND REINTEGRATION) UNIT

Objectives of the Programme :
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission of IOM Azerbaijan and in coordination with
the Programme Assistant, the incumbent will contribute to the activities related to Assisted
Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) projects of the IOM Azerbaijan.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist AVRR (Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration) Unit in implementation of
project activities, includes:
a) registration of incoming return cases, record and update information on
beneficiaries;
b) answer phone calls and schedule counselling sessions with the returnees;
c) assist return cases to complete business plans and collection of necessary
supporting documents;
d) translate collected supporting documents on a case by case basis.
2. Carrying out administrative tasks for the smooth operation of AVRR Unit by collecting
necessary documents, printing, copying and scanning invoice/receipts and other
documentations;
3. Assist Project Clerk to draft and prepare of monitoring reports for the assisted return
cases;
4. Provide support to editing, proof reading of project related documents in the English
language;
5. Perform such other duties as may be required.
Required Education:
• Completed High School degree or be a student of accredited academic institution
Required Experience:
• To have specific interest in areas relevant to IOM programmes and activities;
• Be able to adapt to an international, multicultural, multilingual environment, have good
communication skills and be able to work in a team;
• Experience in the usage of office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and knowledge
of spreadsheet and data analysis an added advantage;
• Excellent writing skills in English and Azerbaijan languages;
Languages: Fluency in Azerbaijani and English, working knowledge of Russian is advantageous
Duration: 3 months with possibility of extension
